Sculptra®

Sculptra® is a polylactic acid-based filler that occurs naturally in our body. Sculptra® is a biodegradable filler that tightens and rejuvenates the skin. By injecting Sculptra® into the deeper layers of the skin, local inflammation is created and, as a result, the production of new collagen is stimulated.
Through collagen buildup, the skin gains elasticity and appears younger and firmer. Volume deficits are compensated for, facial features are defined and contoured, small facial wrinkles such as creases and mouth region wrinkles are reduced and smoothed, while attractive facial areas are clearly highlighted. Over the course of life, the skin loses elasticity and volume, the daily production of its own collagen decreases, and skin wrinkles appear as a result. Individual areas of the face may even sag. Liquid lifting with Sculptra® is used here, which counteracts the aging process. The medical requirements for treatment with Sculptra should be mentioned. An intact immune system and no acute infections or skin injuries are important prerequisites for stimulating new collagen synthesis with Sculptra ®.

In a detailed discussion, I will determine the treatment goals together with you. Depending on the individual initial situation, two or more sessions may be necessary until the desired result is achieved. The injection is carried out under local anesthesia. If you wish, a local anesthetic can also be injected. The injection usually only takes a few minutes. Depending on the size of the area being treated, the duration of treatment may vary slightly in individual cases. Sculptra ® is inserted into the deeper layers of the skin using fine needles, resulting in an immediate increase in volume. The injected fluid is largely absorbed by the body over the following days. As a result, the volume gain may decrease slightly after the first treatment before the actual effect sets in after a few weeks.
